Laser Treatments in Newport Beach, California

At Pacifica Cosmetic Surgery Center in Newport Beach, CA, we offer laser treatments designed to resurface, perfect, and tighten the skin. These treatments naturally stimulate collagen and elastin production to rejuvenate the skin. Whether you want to address aging, blemishes, discoloration, or skin irregularities, we can design a mole removal, skin tightening, or skin resurfacing laser treatment plan with the right laser device to help you reach your cosmetic goals.

What Are Laser Treatments?

Laser treatments use heat energy to naturally tighten and resurface the skin and can also address skin texture irregularities and eliminate skin lesions. We offer the most effective laser treatments to meet the needs of patients who want to achieve tighter skin, reverse aging, improve skin tone and texture, or eliminate irregularities, like moles and skin lesions.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Our laser skin resurfacing treatment uses the CO2 Fraxel laser to address skin laxity and acne scarring. We can also use it to target lines, wrinkles, surface irregularities, discoloration, and more. It pairs well with the surgical facelift and is added to the majority of Dr. Hendricks’ facelift surgeries. It’s performed at the very end of the procedure to provide skin tightening and resurfacing finishing touches.

What It Does

Not only can the CO2 Fraxel laser make the skin tighter, but it can also improve skin texture and make the skin smoother. The first step in this process is an initial consultation with Dr. Hendricks, who can evaluate your skin type and tone and discuss the areas you want to treat and improve.

If you intend to undergo a surgical facelift, you’ll get more details about how adding this laser skin resurfacing treatment will enhance and maximize your results. We can also perform it as a stand-alone treatment to eliminate skin irregularities, including age spots, acne scars, discoloration, and blemishes, and reduce visible aging, including fine lines and wrinkles.

How It Works

During the treatment, we use the CO2 Fraxel laser device to direct intense and short-pulsed light beams into the skin to resurface the area. One of the benefits of the fractional laser is that it makes the entire laser skin resurfacing process less invasive and more comfortable for the patient. It also reduces recovery time and can be scheduled independently or added to a facelift for enhanced results.

What To Expect

Before you undergo a laser skin resurfacing treatment, you’ll need to take steps to prepare for the process to ensure you achieve the best results. If you are a smoker, you will need to quit smoking two weeks before the treatment to ensure that your skin can heal properly post-treatment. You must also avoid sun exposure to protect your skin from UV rays and prevent unwanted post-treatment pigmentation changes.

You also may need to avoid certain medications before and after the treatment. Dr. Hendricks will also provide post-care instructions, including what activities and environments to avoid and what products to use to promote healing. You’ll see gradual improvements in your skin’s general appearance, texture, and tone every week following your treatment.

Plasma Skin Tightening

We also offer a plasma skin tightening treatment with a device called Renuvion, which uses radiofrequency energy and helium to stimulate collagen and elastin production to naturally tighten the skin and improve facial and body areas.

During the treatment, the device creates a spark, which heats the skin to shrink the area and tighten the skin. It can also be scheduled as a stand-alone treatment to address different facial and body areas, or in combination with liposuction.

A Treatment That Enhances Liposuction Results

Renuvion treatments pair well with liposuction, as they can shrink the skin that often appears lax after removing fat. The best liposuction results come from reducing stubborn fat and simultaneously tightening the tissue to create firmer, smoother skin that compliments the new body contours.

How It Works

During your procedure, we’ll either use general anesthesia, local anesthesia with sedation, or a local-only anesthetic to maintain your comfort. The treatment process typically takes one hour and requires one or more tiny incisions in the treatment area, into which the device will be inserted just below the skin’s surface to target the desired treatment area. Dr. Hendricks will control the device temperature, location, and timing to ensure the best possible results.

What To Expect

After your treatment, you’ll notice improvements in the appearance of your skin and natural-looking results. You must follow some post-care instructions, wear a compression garment if necessary, and avoid strenuous activities for the first 24 to 48 hours. Patients can resume normal activities within two days but must wait one to two weeks before resuming intense exercise.

Laser Mole Removal

We offer a scarless mole removal treatment using a specialized laser to eliminate non-cancerous moles from the face and body. While different mole removal techniques can eliminate these irregularities from the face and body, traditional methods often leave behind a scar, affecting your appearance just as much as the mole.

If you’re looking for a solution that can remove a skin lesion, blemish, or mole but don’t want a scar, we can use our specialized dental laser to gently eliminate moles and other irregularities from the skin without pain or post-treatment scarring.

A Unique Treatment Unlike Any Other

Dr. Hendricks is the only plastic surgeon worldwide who offers this unique treatment option and has been using it to remove moles and pigmented lesions from the face and body for over 15 years. Out-of-state and even overseas patients have sought out this treatment at our office, as it can promote scarless skin post-treatment.

Dr. Hendricks’ patients have never returned to the office with a mole that grew back or became a cancerous lesion. He uses a specialized process to pick and choose which moles are suspicious so he can refer the patient to a skin cancer specialist if necessary.

How It Works

This treatment process begins with a consultation. Dr. Hendricks will evaluate the mole you want to remove and, after assessing it, will determine whether it’s potentially cancerous and refer you to a skin cancer specialist if that’s the best treatment choice.

If the mole is non-cancerous, you can proceed with a treatment plan, and we can use our specialized device to painlessly eliminate the mole or irregularity without any scarring. We use the Biolase laser to target and remove lesions, blemishes, or moles during the treatment. There’s no suturing, incisions, or discomfort associated with the treatment, and the process takes approximately 30 minutes, after which you’ll be free to resume your normal daily activities.

What To Expect

You may achieve your desired results after one treatment; however, follow-up treatments are necessary for some patients to completely eliminate the mole or lesion. The results and the treatment plan depend on the size, location, and type of the mole. We can also combine laser mole removal treatments with other techniques and laser options to address additional concerns and ensure you achieve the best results.
